Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (Europe)

According to the European Commission, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters welcome students from all over the world and may offer full scholarships to the best-ranked students. Scholarships cover participation costs and contribute to travel, visa and a living allowance. You apply directly to each programme, in most cases between October and January for courses starting the following year. Commonwealth and Chevening (UK)

India is on the eligible country list for Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships, which cover approved tuition fees, airfare and a stipend of £1,712 per month (£2,000 in London). The 2027/28 CSC application closed on 20 October 2026; nominators put candidates forward by December 2026. Chevening India shows 2027–2028 applications as closed. Germany: DAAD EPOS and low-fee universities

India is on the DAAD EPOS eligible country list (PDF). EPOS funds selected development-related master’s courses for graduates with at least two years’ professional experience, at €992 per month under the current call. See DAAD for Indian students and funded master’s in Germany.

How to plan your applications

1. List 5–10 programmes with scholarship deadlines between now and early 2027.
2. Check eligibility rules (work experience, degree class, return commitments) in each official call.
3. Prepare a strong motivation letter and ask referees early.
