These terms apply when you use fridayscout.com, request a free sample, or pay for FridayScout. By doing so you agree to them. We’ve kept them short and plain.
1. What FridayScout does
FridayScout finds funded PhD and master’s openings that fit your CV and sends you a ranked shortlist every Friday. For openings you choose, we prepare a tailored application pack (for example a motivation letter draft, tailored CV, cover letter and supervisor email draft). A human reviews each pack before we send it.
2. What we don’t do
- We do not guarantee interviews, admission, funding, scholarships or visas. Those decisions belong to universities and other institutions.
- We do not submit applications, log into portals, or email professors for you. You review, edit and submit everything yourself, from your own accounts.
- We do not write recommendation letters or invent experience, qualifications or results.
- We are not paid by, and not affiliated with, any university or listing site.
3. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information. Packs are built from what you tell us.
- Read and edit every draft so it is truly yours before you submit it. You are responsible for your final application.
- Follow each programme’s rules, including any rules on AI-assisted writing. We check published rules where we can and adjust the pack, but the programme’s rules are what count.
- Always confirm deadlines, eligibility and funding on the official listing. Listings can change without notice.
4. Payments
Prices are shown on the site in USD, or in INR depending on where you are browsing from, and are charged once, in advance, through a third-party payment processor. The founding cohort is a one-time payment of ₹3,999 or US$49 and covers 4 weeks of service, including 4 weekly shortlists and up to 3 application packs. Taxes are added where applicable and shown before you pay. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You can cancel at any time by emailing us. Refunds follow our Refund Policy: a full refund within 7 days of payment if no application pack has been delivered yet, and otherwise a pro-rata refund of unused weeks.
6. Delivery
Everything is delivered by email. Timings are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
7. Your content and our work
Your CV, documents and answers remain yours. You let us use them only to provide the service to you. Once delivered, the drafts we prepare for you are yours to edit and use for your own applications. Please don’t resell them or our shortlists. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Notice.
8. Fair use
Don’t misuse the site or service: no automated scraping, no attempts to break security, and no submitting other people’s documents without their permission. We may stop providing the service to anyone who does, and refund any unused weeks.
9. Limits of liability
We work carefully, but listings come from public sources and can be wrong or change. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to FridayScout is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed opportunity or a rejected application. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don’t affect a cohort you have already paid for without your agreement.
